We will respond to your compliant within five working days and aim
to resolve it within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with
our outcome, you may refer the matter to the Property Codes
Adjudication Scheme. The Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPOs) is one of
the key elements of the joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
When your dispute goes through TPO, an adjudicator will make a
decision on it. If you accept that decision, it is binding on the
company you are in dispute with. You can reject the decision and
take your dispute to court.

Payment for our services
Payment is required in full before the HIP is set up and the
searches are ordered.
Cancellation of your HIPs
You do have the right to cancel your HIP. If you decide to cancel
you must contact HIPSHOP, in writing, with your cancellation
request, quoting your unique reference number.
To ensure the best possible service levels, your order will be
actioned when the quote is accepted and payment is received. Any
requirements which have been quoted for and provided by HIPSHOP
will be non-refundable. Upon cancellation your password will be
null and void.
Conflicts of Interest
Occasions can arise where we or one of our associated companies,
clients or product providers will have a potential conflict of
interest with business being transacted for you. If this happens
and we become aware that a potential conflict exists, we will write
to you and obtain your consent before we carry out your
instructions, and detail the steps we will take to ensure fair
treatment.
Your Responsibilities
In connection with a HIP, the client is accountable for using the
service in a responsible manner and to ensure you provide true,
complete and accurate information. We do not guarantee or warrant
that any of the information provided in or via the service is
precise or reliable. You rely on it at your own risk.
You may only use this website for lawful purposes. The client must
ensure that information provided is not indecent, obscene, abusive,
libellous or defamatory. We do not edit documents or files
uploaded, however MD Professional & Support Services Ltd will
remove files they may feel are inappropriate or illegal. You should
read all documents issued to you and ensure that you are aware of
your responsibilities. You should check all details on the proposal
form and pay particular attention to any declaration you may be
asked to sign. If you fail to disclose any information that is
relevant to the unit this could affect the validity of your HIP and
lead to prosecution.
Security
HIPSHOP will provide the client with an access code and password,
you must not allow anybody else to use your personal data. If you
have a suspicion that somebody has your security information please
contact MD Professional & Support Services Ltd as
soon as possible.
All personal information is treated by us as confidential and is
processed in accordance with the relevant legislation. We will not
use or disclose personal information without your consent, except
where we are compelled by law (including by regulators or law
enforcement agencies) to disclose such information. In such
instances personal information held by us may be disclosed on a
confidential basis, and in accordance with the Data Protection Act
1998, to such third parties.
Operation of the Website
HIPSHOP will use reasonable efforts to keep the website accessible
at all times. However, as HIPSHOP has no control over the Internet
or documentation transmitted by email or uploaded via the web link,
we do not guarantee the availability or uninterrupted use of the
facility; we will try to rectify faults as soon as practically
possible.
HIPSHOP will implement reasonable precautions to prevent harmful
content being uploaded onto our web site, however, we will not be
responsible for any information downloaded that may contain a
virus.
Use of Personal Data
We will process any personal information we obtain in the course
of providing our services to you in accordance with the Data
Protection Act 1998.
We may disclose details to relevant parties, as necessary, to
comply with regulatory or legal requirements. We may contact you or
pass your details to other companies associated with us in order to
promote products or services which may be of use to you. We will
not otherwise use or disclose the personal information we hold
without your consent.
Some of the details you may be asked to give us, such as
information about previous or pending offences or your financial
position are defined by the Act as sensitive personal data. By
giving us such information you signify your consent to its being
processed
by us.
General
This Agreement is governed by and interpreted in accordance with
English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the English courts.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any
time. Unless otherwise stated in this Agreement all notices
in
writing shall be sent by email to the most recent email address
specified by the client.
HIPs data will be retained by HipShop for a minimum of 6
years.
